This year Resurrection Sunday falls on the 4th day of April.  Resurrection Sunday Offering is the only annual fund raiser held by Missions America.  Every year we ask the ministers and churches of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ to come together and support Missions America.  Did you know America is the fourth largest unevangelized nation in the world?  We desperately need to reach this great nation from corner to corner with the great Gospel of Jesus Christ.  However, evangelism costs money.  Evangelism costs time, sacrifice, prayers, and finances.  I am praying that 2010 is the year we see 100% participation in Resurrection Sunday Offering.  Each year we get a little closer to that goal.  Please do your part to make 2010 the year of 100%!

Resurrection Sunday Offering provides funds for Adopt-A-City churches to make down payments on land or buildings; purchase church transportation, baptistries, instruments, sound equipment, pews, Sunday School literature; install flooring; or replace faulty equipment such as air conditioners, heaters, water heaters.  The list is long and the needs are great.  Many times these Adopt-A-City pastors carry a great burden, but are simply without necessary resources to reach their communities.

You may think your small offering will not make a big difference.  That is just not true.  God always takes a sacrifice, multiplies it, and blesses many.  Think about it.  Jesus used one little boy’s lunch to feed a multitude.  I often wondered what would have happened if that little boy had not taken his lunch to Jesus.  If he had thought; ‘My lunch is just enough for me.’  Would the entire multitude been sent home hungry?  Maybe Jesus would have found another way to provide, but thankfully that young man did bring his offering to Jesus.  Today we rejoice over that offering because of the miracle it caused.

What about your offering?  I know you may be thinking that you can not afford to give, but there is really no telling what God will do with your sacrifice.  Sacrificial giving opens up the windows of heaven in your life.  I have found that many financial problems are solved when giving an offering.  This theory not entirely logical, but God’s financial plan is not based solely on logic.  No, there is an element of the miraculous involved.  Even unbelievers are blessed financially when following God’s financial plan.

Try God today.  Make a decision to give in Resurrections Sunday Offering 2010.  Decide on how much you want to give and then double it!  See if God will not show up and make a way for you to give and bless you on top of it!  After all, you know you can never out-give God.

There are eighteen Adopt-A-City pastors across America who will be grateful.  There are eighteen Adopt-A-City church families who will be blessed.  There are untold hundreds of souls that may be reached because of you.  Because you sacrificed your time, money, and prayers.  Also, please pray.  Combine your giving with prayer.  Prayerful giving is much more effective than giving without prayer or prayer without giving.  Pray and give!  Missions America will thrive when the ministry begins to pray and give like never before.

Pastors, remember RSO is a requirement for TOPS.  At Apostolic Lighthouse, we are hosting a Billy v. Betty Crocker Cook-Off to raise money for RSO 2010.  That is just the beginning.  Our church family will be working hard between now and Resurrection Sunday to bless Missions America with an amazing offering.  Please promote RSO at your churches.  We need your help.  Mark your calendar.  April 4, 2010.  Resurrection Sunday Offering 2010 is going to be a record breaker!  We are going to raise more and do more in 2010 than ever before.  Thank you for your participation.
